1. What is EricBlogger?

This is the simple, uncomplicated system Eric has devised to publish this web log. After years of intensive development (not really, I’m just being a smart ass), Eric has devised a system of his own which he will use for this blog. He will add entries to a file in Microsoft Word, save them as an HTML file, and post them to his website, deleting the old version and replacing it with the new one. Periodically, he will start fresh with a new one, and post the old file to an archive.

Because he hates them, and thinks they suck. Another sad instance of people making something ten times more complicated than it needs to be. And no, Eric is going to stick to his guns, and politely decline any offers by anyone to set it up for him. Eric is computer literate, and could have set these things up by himself. He just chose not to. These programs are something he has decided he does not want or need. Anyone who has known Eric for any length of time will realize what a stubborn pain in the ass he is and that when he sets his mind to do something, that he will do things his own way.

Eric held out on even having a blog for a long time because of the crap that seems to stem directly from the whole commenting system. Eric is not doing this so that he can be anonymously attacked for his views and opinions by some good-for-nothing, pot- smoking, tree-hugging, leftist, pinko communist, cry-baby bed-wetter so fucking spineless that they can’t even take credit for their own views and post a name to their comments. He doesn’t particularly want to hear from the ones who don’t post anonymously either. He’s not doing this to see how many hits he can get or how many comments he can get or to see how popular he can become in blog land. He is doing this to have a forum to periodically vent to no one in particular, and to share his random brain/core dumps with anyone who is interested in reading them.

If you have something to say to him, feel free to email him. He just doesn’t promise that he will dignify every email with the time of day, or an answer.

Furthermore, if Eric discovers someone is quoting him elsewhere as an unofficial change of venue so that the comment wars and bullshit can take place anyway, he will get upset and do something rash.

Eric has a filthy mouth and is very opinionated. Although Eric tries to defy classification, many of his political views could be best described as moderate conservative, although on many specific issues his views are a bit more extreme. Eric is very proud of his views, regardless of how extreme, unpopular, or unpolitically correct they are, and is not ashamed of stating them. If you are here, and Eric is going off about what he thinks, and you find his views objectionable or offensive, get it over it. No one is making you come here to read this stuff.
